Vivian Girls at the Lounge on Elm St.

Meyer Hawthorn at the Loft
8:30 PM, The Loft, 1135 S. Lamar
Apparently you can be 30, white, and nerdy and be considered cool enough to get a record deal. Hawthorn slipped his demo to many many producers before finally getting a call back on his apartment made instrumentals and a voice that awakens the ghosts of classic motown. You may not have gotten a chance to hear him yet, but it's the closest we'll get to SXSW here in Dallas.
