Hello Bryson! So, I'm more than thrilled that it's FRIDAY! Mostly because we are just a few short days away from March...and in case you haven't noticed, March is going to be a great month for us!
Just another reminder, we have our Brunch March 7. Catered by an awesome Uptown Restaurant, we're going to kick off our St. Patrick's Day Festivities with a Traditional Irish Breakfast, complete with Biscuits, dishes topped with potatoes, and lots and lots of sausage. Naturally we'll have coffee and mimosas. Come out and enjoy this delicious brunch from 10 am to Noon in the Common Room.
March 11 boasts our RSVP ONLY PUB CRAWL! Seven Thirty until 11:30 PM, we'll hit up the Gingerman, Idle Rich Pub, Black Friar, and the Londoner...oh and you DON'T have to worry about Transportation, we provide it for you (as well as a surprise for participants). March 28 hosts our CHOCOLATE MAKING CLASS! Starting at 10 am, Nib Chocolate Owner Stephen Smith will be teaching us how to make delicious truffles, toffee, and other treats! You must RSVP for this course, please sign up outside my office.
Other exciting events coming up include a possible Top Golf Night, On Site Oil Changes and Car Detailing, as well as Pool Parties with a LIVE BAND!
Now, enough with events, don't forget to submit your Maids Requests for next week by Saturday at 5 pm. A few of our service providers have been hit with last minute requests, and have asked that they receive inquiries at LEAST 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE.
And Please don't forget, Dry Cleaning has pick up and drop off service Tuesday and Thursday now. Please see me for any dry cleaning, stain removal, laundering and pressing services!
Okay, Bryson, I'm a member of two amazing organizations dedicated to the well being of Dallas, TX. Both are seeking volunteers and I'm looking for people to join me in the effort by dedicating some valuable time.
The Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance has this amazing recovery home for our homeless men and women called The Bridge. We are currently seeking weekday morning and afternoon volunteers as many have left to go back to school after the Holidays. We are so busy with this cold weather, capping out every night at nearly 400 residents. We are looking for people to help out in the kitchen, at the welcome desk and in intake! Please see me for volunteer opportunities.
For Love of the Lake is an organization of energetic people dedicated to conservation and preservation of White Rock Lake. With it's Centennial coming up at the end of this year, a new spill way, jogging trail, little league fields, we are in more need than ever to have people help us clean up the lake shore on Saturday Mornings. Join me Saturday Morning!!!
The Next Dallas Wine Trail has been announced today! I got word from Brandon at Calias Winery the next Wine Trail will take Place March 27 at FOUR different Dallas Wineries. Warrior Dash has added on another date to it's May 1 race! May 2 has slots available at 5, 5:30, and 6 PM for the Adventure race, which includes a dash through a dust storm, traversing over a gangplank, a climb up a hill of mud, a leap over flames, and all sorts of fun things you'd just do normally in our courtyard, minus a few small dogs. Sign up quick, slots are going exceptionally fast!
Urban Dare Dallas has announced it's May 1 race! Teams of two will race through Dallas solving clues, and enduring challenges all for a grand prize. Starting at the Gingerman Pub, you can only anticipate that it will be fun, but challenging. Cost is $45 per person and all proceeds go toward fighting breast cancer.
