Jan 30

Hey Guys! It's freezing cold outside, and I'm surprised I haven't seen too too may of you today! But I can understand with the temp being below freezing and a huge selection at RedBox lately. Not to mention the low tonight being down to 30. Stay safe, stay warm, is what I'm generally advising, but for those select few that are venturing out tonight, I have quite a few suggestions, but we will get to that momentarily.

Remember, next week boasts the sidewalk sale in the West Village. With prices slashed down to nearly 75% off, this is a sale you cannot miss. Feb 5-7.

For now, you'll just have to deal with sales at Epic and L. Bartlett. With 30% off at Epic, you can find a truly phenominal empire cut taupe short dress to go with those fantastic knee high riding boots you have.

L. Bartlett, however, boasts a much better sale with prices down between 50 and 75% off of beautiful tops, dresses and sweaters, as well as accessories. Swing in and talk to Trina about your next big night out.

Tomorrow has several dining events throughout the city.

The De Golyer Garden Cafe at the Dallas Arboretum hosts Fireside Wine Flights 4-7 PM. Come out for tastings of delicious red and white wines for only $37.50/person.

Watels World Peace Cafe on Lower Greenville is hosting a Big Band Jazz Dinner. For only $10 you can enjoy a 5 Course Wine Tasting for just $79/person. Reservations are required for this event, so please call (214) 720-0323.

Tomorrow also has the Gumbo Challenge at Rex's seafood market. From 3-6 PM, diners can enjoy home made gumbos and other dishes with drinks. All for the sake of competition. 5200 West Lovers Lane.

Sunday Social Club is on at Club Lotus! With $5 cocktails and D Magazines Best DJ in Dallas going on, it'll be a Sunday Funday for sure.

With Valentinesday around the Corner, I'm sure may of you have thought of several ways of celebrating. Well, I have in my office a list of restaurant specials! Should you need some suggestions, just feel free to swing by and see me.

Also, I don't know about you, but I would love a spa treatment. Hiatus spa, on the backside of the inwood theatre, is hosting couples massages featuringn deep tissue, swedish, as well as hot stone for $139/person. Reservations are filling up fast so hurry in and see me to make yours!

Do you have a love story? Dr. Delphinium wishes to know. Tell your love story online to recieve a $295 Love Story Arrangement.

Now, let me remind you of the reason I am here. If you need your dry cleaning, your apartment cleaned, your shoes shined, if you need dinner, restaurant, or concert reservations, please do not hesitate to swing by my office, Tuesday through Saturday 1-9 PM.

Lastly, Remember, we have our wine event at Cork on Tuesday, the 9 of February. Come out between 7-9 PM for a tasting of unique varietals and some delicious finger foods.

I downloaded Feather onto my Iphone while I was down South a couple of weeks ago, and it's been fantastic. Fashion + Weather =Feather essentially. Today,it paired a cute Vanessa Bruno Ribbed Turtleneck with a Beyond the Valley Harris Tweed Cape...totally hot! It also gives you the options to search out different clothing to fit your body style, the weather, and gives you various occasions like ball games, date nights, girls nights, happy hours, and lunch dates! You've gotta download it!!!

Hey Guys! Yes, We've got tons and tons going on, and very very soon. I mean, we have the Dallas Art Fair Feb 5-7 downtown at the New Arts Center. Featuring a new club smell, a hickory plank bar, rustic wooden stools and drinks made with Agave Nectar this place juxtaposes the new with the old as easily as the DART Greenline slides onto Swiss Ave. With a crowd and location as eclectic as the music in the Jukebox, this place offers a peacefully chic mecca in a desert of Reno's Chop Shop style biker bars and Techno DJs down the block at the Lounge on Elm st. (Not to mention the Rock N Roll of Trees). Regardless of the cocktail menu still being "under construction" the rumored sips to sample include a cucumber giblet, a strawberry-cucumber mojito, and the Home on the Grange Rita made with Mexican Herbal Liquor and Agave nectar. With everything from clothing and jewelry to sporting goods and furniture being accepted, allotted drop off times have been slated at Armoirs and More (5120 W. Lover's Ln.). Plus, on Tuesday nights, you get 1/2 off the bottle of wine of your choosing. An Extra Bonus, Lombardi Family Concepts will be donating 10% off it's food sales to the Haitian Relief Fund! Remember, sit in Pacco or Oscar's Section!

Hey Guys! I hate to start this off with such a sad note but here goes.

The island nation of Haiti was effected by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake yesterday, leaving a predicted tens of thousands dead, thousands more injured, nearly destroying the capital city of Port Au Prince. Described as being "Like the End of the World" by Haitian First Lady Elisabeth Debrosse Delatour, the entire country is in desperate need of your assistance in the form of clothing, tents, blankets, food, water, good tennis shoes or work boots, and monetary donations. Please come by my office to talk to me about how you can help out or to donate. Thank you

Also, as a personal resolution, I've started volunteering at the Bridge, a homeless shelter set up by the Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance. Opening its doors in May of 2008, the Bridge is the largest One Stop Shop for homeless men and women in the greater Dallas Area. Providing 3 meals a day, a place to sleep, job services with the Texas Workforce, access to medical and psychiatric care, emergency and temporary housing for up t0 1000 individuals, but most of all, we provide a safe and welcoming place that has brought down Dallas’ homeless rate 25% in the last 2 years. We’re always looking for more help in the form of volunteers and clothing, book, and monetary donations. If you’re at all interested, please see me!

Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve also got some great things going on in the form of sales and spa specials.
First off, ladies, FIG Finale opens to the Public on Friday morning at 11 am. Tickets can be bought online for the discounted rate of $20 for a 2 day pass at http://www.fashionindustrygallery.com/fig_finale.htm
BUT, if you want access to FIG Finale on Thursday (tomorrow) I would highly recommend getting the $50 VIP ticket online. This ticket includes valet, hors de oeuvres, a DJ Spinning, and Cocktails! Seriously, this event only happens twice a year and what better way to vent off some of that
Not to mention, we’ve got Elements on Lovers Lane near the Toll road having a sale where prices are SLASHED to up to 75% off! Yeah, you can save on designers like Robert Rodriguez, Twelfth Street, and Mint with this semiannual sale!

Open Mic Night with the Marfalites!
9 PM, Bandera’s, 1924 Greenville Ave.

The difference here is we’re going to have the Marfalite’s Very Own Noah Cavey!
SNL Vintage at Addison Improv!
