This is a Caity Event, I will be there, along with $25 mojito pitchers, $6 flavored mojitos by the glass, and $150 bottle specials all night!
MUTE? NO WAY, MUTEMATH!
8 PM, Palladium Ballroom, 1135 South Lamar
The members of MUTEMATH had reached their breaking point. Collectively gathered on the front porch of their New Orleans home-studio where they were struggling to record the follow up to their 2006 critically-acclaimed Teleprompt/Warner Bros. debut, the quartet screamed at each other with the full weight of the accumulated frustrations that had escalated from weeks of fighting. To heighten the tension, a lawn mower droning in the background drowned out their voices, inciting them to yell even louder in misguided efforts to be heard. So don't force them to lose out on their ongoing battle against their vocal chords and check them out at the Palladium tonight!!!! $22-$27
DO THE MOOOONNNSSTTER MASH!
9 PM, Lotus, 2900 McKinney
Start the Halloween festivities early at Lotus’ Monster Mash bash. Get the VIP treatment and lounge on oversize couches with bottle service, or dance the night away to DJ David Austin. A cool grand prize goes to the winner of the costume contest, but sore losers need not fret; there are shot specials all night long.
MORE COSTUMES? MORE CLUBS? MORE UPTOWN? SERIOUSLY!
9 PM, Aura, 2912 McKinney Ave
Just two blocks up from Lotus, Aura is hosting it's very own Halloween Kick off Bash! With drink and shot specials, no cover, and DJ Rev. Dark Night, you're going to have one ghoulishly good time! Just make sure your party doesn't last into work tomorrow morning! For reservations, call Caity!
J-j-j-JAZZ! ART! DINNER?!

Sooo you like the Belmont, but are hating this cold weather, check out the Barefoot at the Belmont Series taking place just down McKinney Ave. at Rock House Films. For $30 at the door, you can enjoy a night with Dallas Musical fave Jimmy LaFave!
Whoo? whoo? OWL CITY THAT'S WHO!!!
8 PM, House of Blues, 2200 N. Lamar
There are many reasons to dislike Owl City, the electro tweepop project spearheaded by Owatonna, Minnesota's 23-year-old Adam Young. For one thing? The moniker is horrible. You can name yourself after a town or a continent--say, Boston or Chicago or Europe--but you can't name yourself after a city with the word "City" in the title. That's why there are no bands named "New York City" or "Oklahoma City." The fact that it's a pretend city makes it worse. So come on out and check out this Postal Service Rip Off Band for yourself!!!! Seriously, pop onto Pandora.com and check out Owl City's ''Vanilla Twilight''!
